Matěj Michálek (he/him), 4. ročník, Bc.
tajemník, pubquizy a seznamovací akce

This year marks Matěj’s 4th year both in Schwa as well as in the BA double double-subject teaching programme of English Language and Literature in Education and its French counterpart. For Schwa, he has been managing email communications for a while now, and is best known as the guy who does the chronically online pub culture-related rounds in our pub quizzes. Outside of school and Schwa, he’s the main counsellor at a children’s free-time touristic group and a freelance piano teacher and musician.
Ville Hudců (he/him), 4. ročník, Bc.
pubquizy, literární sekce, bookclub

Ville is a 4th-year student of English & American Studies and is happy to be in the Schwa committee for the 3rd year. Through Schwa, he organizes the book club and participates in the organization of social events—he is also one of the editors for The Artful collection. Ville is interested in 20th-century American poetry, (Southern) Gothic, and America in general. He loves to spend his free time drawing, writing, or obsessing over ever-changing fixations on specific video games, music, series, or other media.
Karolína Šťastná (she/her), 4. ročník, Bc.
social media manager, film screenings, social events

Kája is a fourth-year BA student of English and American studies & Germanic studies with a focus on German culture and language (fancy name for English-German double-subject haha), and this year is her 2nd year on the Schwa committee. She handles social media and everything around it, so if you DMed @ffschwa anywhere in the last year, you talked to her!
Outside of Schwa, she loves learning languages (Danish being the most recent one), teaching, and listening to anything where MJ Keenan is involved!:)
Ash Pynchuk (he/him), 3. ročník, Bc.
literární sekce, pub quizy, writing club

Ash is a 3rd-year BA student of English-American Studies who struggles to study. He loves international literature and might stick to that in the future.
He loves photography because very few things are not worth capturing in his eyes, and travelling, because it helps him see what he has only imagined. Ash claims to love Formula 1 despite rage quitting watching races due to his team being useless.
Ash writes poems as well as prose and is on a journey to do that more. His goal is to make other people confident in themselves and their writing.
Eliot Dědek (he/him), 2. ročník, Bc.
pokladník, literární sekce, social events

Eliot is a 2nd-year double-subject BA student of English-American studies and History of the Ancient Civilisation. His seemingly endless time spent studying stems from trying to understand others through reading, translating Ancient Greek texts, and studying the ancient past. In his free time, he draws, rehearses theatre, and tries to look contemplative while listening to music. If engaged in conversation, he will find any and every excuse to mention his cat.
Evie Hynesová (she/her), 1. ročník, Bc.
literární sekce, pub quizy, social events

Evie is a first-year BA student of English and American studies. Having studied teaching at high school, she hopes to never set foot in an elementary school again and rather spend her career translating, publishing, or writing literature of her own. Aside from writing, she spends most of her time crafting or DIY-ing, doing anything from drawing and painting to sewing and animation. When doing none of the previously stated, she continues her detective work on what exactly David Bowie meant by “I’m an alligator, I’m a mama-papa coming for you”.
